Passion. Experience. Diligence.
We are at a critical time in modern history.
History has a way of repeating itself if we are not careful to heed her warnings.
Helping my fellow human beings during this turbulent time is my passion. In advocacy, there are no big “I’s or Little You’s”, no “Us or Them’s”. What the world needs are experienced women like me on the front lines advocating for those who can’t advocate for themselves. We have to fight for our collective human rights. We need to come together to ensure everyone’s rights are respected regardless of their background, class, gender, ethnicity, ability, national origin, religion, gender expression, gender identity, or sexual orientation. I work diligently to support your rights to live authentically and holistically.
I am a disabled Air Force veteran, women veterans advocate, community activist and outdoor adventure leader. I am a pleasure advocate. As the founder of The Vet Space®, I am proud to share we curate programs and activities, to create spaces where women veterans can unwind, connect with nature, and experience renewal, fostering a sense of well-being and belonging.
I especially love hosting outings for female veterans that provide life changing mental wellness benefits, long lasting camaraderie among military and veteran women as well as encouraging them to engage in experiences that give them pleasure and joy.

Some interesting tidbits about me:
In 2024, I relaunched The Vet Space to create opportunities for healing and empowerment by addressing the unique challenges faced by women veterans to help them begin the journey to live fulfilling and joyful lives. We also focus on the wholistic benefits of spending time in nature and to reconnect to joy, peace and mental wellness through outdoor activities on the lands and waters we took an oath to protect and defend
In 2014, I founded Forever Free Books to reduce the 30 million word gap between low income children and their wealthy counterparts. We delivered free books and conduct story time to low-income children in their communities. Sadly, we closed our nonprofit in 2020 due to health reasons.
I’ve been featured on OWNTV, Essence Magazine, Huffington Post, The Today Show, AfricanAncestry.com, Tom Joyner Morning Show, TEDx, Johns Hopkins University, NAACP, Congressional Black Caucus, Blacks in Government, FBI, EPA, etc.
I still can’t believe I am a 2x triathlete and 2x marathoner.
I absolutely love historical fiction, gardening, hiking, and local farmers market shopping.
I am a BETA READER with the Black Writers Collective. I absolutely love to support new authors.
I recently started kayaking (YAY! GO ME!).
I am wife (24yrs so far), mom to 3 amazing young adults and “GiGi” to an energetic 6yr old grandson.
