Writing can be a lifeline, especially when your existence has been denied, especially when you have been left on the margins, especially when your life and process of growth have been subjected to attempts at strangulation.

Taking Care of a Sick Husband

So, hubby has had a fever since Wednesday and I finally convinced him to go to urgent care last night with a 104 temp. I'm thankful he listened because he was diagnosed with pneumonia.

I opted to stay home from church to take of him. In the midst of running to pick up his meds, God clearly said, "juice for him". Honestly, I didn't want to since it's so time consuming but I did anyway.

Needless to say, he was so appreciative when he received the final product, since I only juice for myself. It's the little things that matter.

What's something selfless that you've done even though you didn't want to?
