Before I turned 40-years-old, I was diagnosed with Alopecia (hair loss), Depression and Diabetes all in the same month. I was devastated, so I chose to drown my sorrows in double stuffed Oreo cookies.
One day, I looked at myself in the mirror and did not recognize the lady looking at me. I hated who I had become - an Excuse-making, Envious, Anxious, Perfectionist, People-Pleaser!
I had to work on me and honestly, that was no easy task. With therapy, diet, running and facing the ugly truth about my poor choices, I decided to finally choose ME, TANYA, above everyone else.
Now, I empower women to take ownership of their lives too. I advocate for women veterans as well. I don’t want another woman to have a STROKE me. If I can change, certainly you can too. Won’t you join me?
